While I loved being a media journalist for 6 years, I became passionate about merging my love for writing, books, and media together. I wanted to help more Black and Brown storytellers feel that their stories were not limited. With access to the right resources and a business partner to champion you along the way, anything is possible.
ByrdSeeds was originally launched in 2017 as a blog to express my mental health journey and the lessons I learned along the way. Now, it has grown into the company you see today. As the creator of the ESSENCE Unboxed series and ByrdSeeds founder, I use my skills and expertise to do what I do best: give other stories a platform to grow! ByrdSeeds is a collaborator and vehicle for founders, creatives, authors, producers, and more to expand and give their stories the spotlight they deserve.
